Blog unit 3
Base on my reflections I would rate my Physical, Spiritual, and Psychological well being as an 8 from the scale from 1 to 10. The goal that I have set for my physical, Spiritual, and psychological well being is to be in good physical shape and for this goal I workout at a gym, and jog every morning before going to work. On the other hand, the skills and abilities all come from the kindness of others therefore without this practice I wouldn’t be able to communicate with others nor share their ideas. Therefore, each person who contributes in any way towards my happiness and well-being deserves the love and kindness of my gratitude and respect.

Erik,
ReplyDeleteWow that is great. I am glad that you have been able to reach those numbers. That is in my future. Sounds like you are on the way to your physical goals and doing things now to reach those goals. Good luck!!! It is great that you are able to be such a love and kind hearted person. What an inspiration your blog has been for me this week. Thanks I needed that
Erik, I do believe that everyone contributes to our love, and happiness. If loving-kindness starts with me, then I can use others to practice on, especially the ones who are more difficult to love and accept. I guess that's where skillful practice comes in; are my words, thoughts, and action fulfilling loving-kindness, or do they take me away from fulfilling wholeness, health, and happiness.
ReplyDeleteErik I think it is amazing that you feel that focusing on love and kindness as an approach to a greater overall well-being and a more healthy goal for your psychological and spiritual self. It takes love to truly let yourself open up, understand yourself as well as others and to let others reciprocate your love. Maybe contributing to some volunteer or community centers may deepen this love and kindness and you can try to spread this idea like wild fire or "pay it forward" so to speak. Maybe a deeper focus on practicing meditation and focusing on loving oneself, radiating kindness and achieving a higher state of wellness.
ReplyDeleteGreat progress Erik!
Hailey
Hi Erik,
ReplyDeleteYou have figured out what many dont seem to understand and that is that working out improves health, but not just physical health it also helps keep us strong mentally.
I also like the level of gratitdue that you express toward those that support your goals. The people that push you toward happiness do deserve your gratitude and respect, and it is refershing to hear that you recognize that.
